Lots of Lochs

About an hours drive from the city of Glasgow are some of the most picturesque views I have ever seen. We were so lucky with the weather and it was a beautiful, crisp sunny day – perfect for some great photos and a lovely walk. We drove to Loch Lomond, Loch Long and Loch Fyne (the home of the first of the Loch Fyne restaurants, which are now scattered all over the country), and had a little stop off at the haunted Drovers Inn for a drink (taxidermy a-plenty). I knew Scotland, of course, had some lovely countryside, but the views across Loch Lomond were simply breathtaking. I strongly recommend anyone who is visiting that part of the world anytime soon, that they should venture out for some fresh air, mountains and lots of lochs – certainly a nice change from the busy streets of London.

    • I’m very lucky! From London there are so many great places to visit for weekends here and there, it’s just working out how to do it on a student’s budget which is the problem!

  1. Wow! I live near a lake but it looks nothing like this…too much urbanity has made it a mess. This is so beautiful. I can only imagine how it draws all the senses in when standing along its shores.

Thanks for the like on my blog.

    • You’re completely right. Although only an hour outside of major city, it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere and has been completely untouched! We were also very lucky with the sunshine, so the colours we so vibrant!
You’re very welcome, thank you for visiting me back!
